I have spent almost my whole life
And this is what I find –
I have just one enemy
And that’s my unfettered mind.
All my problems began in there
When I left it free of reins
And, instead of bringing me joy
It merely collected pains.
As I understood the power
That my mind has over me
All clouds lifted from my life
And suffering let me be.
I sit in silence when I can
And wipe my mind very clean –
All things become crystal clear
And life sparkles with a sheen.
All I need to do at times
Is forgive all for what took place
And the mind becomes free and light
And this moment has greater space.
The space of this moment mind
Is a factory for miraculous things
Where creation dances filled with joy
And the bell of possibility rings.
