The Breath Sangam – Discover Your Major Breath Channels and More

Normally, those who are aware of their breath, may be familiar with the Idea, Pingala and Sushumna Nadis and they are naturally, very important. When that all flow well, we can experience a sangam of sorts similar to the sangam of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati on earth.

The inner sangam happens within our beings and that makes the event as important as the sangams outside.

While the sangam of rivers is seen and experienced throughout the year, a celebration happens every 12 years during the Mahakumbha.

Besides, the three known Nadis, I would like to draw your attention to the three major channels that I call the Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh channels. While the Vishnu channel (along the middle of the body) is known to most, many may be aware of the Mahesh channel (along the spine) and very few, if any are truly aware of the third channel – the Brahma channel (along the front surface of the body).

For many, all these channels are partially blocked and they feel their breath only from the nostrils to the chest. A few feel it to the navel area. But very few can reach their breath to the muladhara or the perineum where the kundalini sits coiled.

I often refer to this as a well from which one constantly draws energy. Unfortunately, the well of kundalini is rarely recharged because the way to the well is often blocked.

Once one clears the blockages and energy flows to the well, kundalini is more easily recharged. In this, the Brahma channel plays a specially powerful role as it brings the subtle aspects of Prithvi, Jal, Agni, Vayu and Akash and helps recharge the well powerfully.

Unfortunately, most are unaware of these aspects of their breath because they rarely ever even notice their breath, leave alone become familiar with it.

Once these aspects are seen, learnt and used, the Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh channels help to cleanse the Pranamaya kosha powerfully and deeply. That’s when energy begins to flow easily throughout the body, the chakras and all aspects of the being.

As cleansing of the Nadis and chakras happens, one begins to move towards greater and greater freedom in all areas of life…

After all, the inner cleansing and powerful movement of energy releases many karmic bondages and connections, too!

The Pranamaya kosha, once it becomes powerfully activated, it transforms one on all possible ways.

This path is a special path that’s meant for all but only a very few can truly can advantage because it needs descipline and commitment…

Those that walk this path soon discover how fortunate they truly are…

Because, what can be greater than freedom – to be freed from the tyranny of their own minds, desires, obsessions and limitations…
