Navaratras are a time to worship and celebrate Shakti, the feminine form of divinity. More importantly, it’s a time to manifest these energies within us.

Shakti manifests herself in innumerable forms and ways. Here we explore the manifestation of Shakti within the human form and work on ways to optimize and activate her presence within.

On the second day of Navaratras, Shakti is worshipped as Brahmacharini. Among the Chakras, she is associated with the Swadhisthana (sacral) which represents creativity and, of course, sexual energy. Notice how powerfully this energy affects human actions and endevors. However, misuse of any energy can lead to great harm and destruction.

To activate this Shakti within, we focus our breathwork and meditation on the chakra as an orange colored 6-petaled lotus.

I have shared elsewhere how there are different channels that can help bring energy into the system and store it in Muladhara. The Chinese believe the energy is stored below the Manipura or navel. Energy should be able to move down easily with the breath towards the Muladhara.

Various channels to move energy towards the wellspring within at the Muladhara must be activated to get best results.

To bring energy into the swadhisthan chakra, sit at ease in a comfortable asana and allow belly breathing to happen. Let the breath move towards the Muladhara and up the spine with Hanuman Master Breath technique.

As the body begins to relax and flow of breath becomes easy and subtle, bring your attention to the Swadhisthana as you visualize a six-petaled orange Lotus.

Let your breath flow easily down to the underbelly and collect in the pelvic area. If your sushumna is flowing that’s perfect. If not, practice as shown in the preceding post and video about Day – 1 to activate the sushumna.

Let the in-breath bring an electrical charge through the Ida and Pingala to the Swadhisthana (sacral chakra and genitals) even as the sushumna channels the out-breath up the spine.

Notice the heat and sensations that build up and continue to channel them up the spine…

If your energy channels are open you’ll notice the effects within minutes and a few cycles of breath…

Doing the day – 1 practice for a few minutes and combining it with the Day – 2 breathwork will yield good results.

Gently pull up the perineum (Muladhara) as you do these practices.

Naturally, these practices will give immediate results to those who have worked on their breath channels and are familiar with the pathways, as explained on SWA-TANTRA Kriya. Others will notice some effects almost immediately if their nadis are relatively open and accessible.

Notice the pleasantness and other sensations like heat or a crawling sensation to get a sense of activation…

As the sacral chakra is activated you’ll notice improvements in sexual energy and creativity…instead of wasting or leaking the energy it is best to keep channeling it up the spine for best long-term results…
