Karmic Issues – Game of Shakti, Maya, Darkness

Karma-related issues have confounded well-meaning folks for long. Problem with karma is, one has no idea where it began, how long it will trouble and when its malefic effects will end.

No one has issues with ‘good karma’. When life is going good and things are smooth, one assumes it’s the result of some good karma at some point in the past.

What troubles us is when problems surround, illness, lack, social and legal issues crop up, losses, failures, debt and such things disturb the peace of mind. That’s when many start wondering if there are some karmic issues connected with one’s lack of overall well-being.

Whatever the cause, nature or source of one’s problems might be, one thing is common…one’s peace of mind is gone!

All that we say, feel, do, think, imagine etc comprises some sort of karma. When any of these, generally spoken of as an action, affects others it becomes more powerful as it creates a ‘karmic bond’. If it doesn’t directly affect others, then it might still have some effect, but at least there won’t be too many karmic bonds.

Karmic bonds are usually very strong and have the power to create situations that bring such ‘bonded’ people together. Usually, when one’s CONSCIOUSNESS is low, they add to these bonds. So, when karmically tied people interact with each other they may create more of these bonds.

Think of karma as energy, an expression of Shakti. Usually, karmically bonded people exhibit or feel strong emotions towards each other. Emotions are often expressions of powerful energy.

Now, this cocktail of different kinds of energy creates a strange mix of situations where people end up with potentially hurtful behaviour towards each other.

Karma is closely associated with emotions. And, more the play of emotions, the greater is the potential to bring hurt and pain to each other.

Very often, we are most strongly attracted to people with whom we have karmic bonds.

Karma, emotions, energy…I hope you get the drift…

Essentially, Karma is created by Maya which itself is a creation of Shakti. So, think of karma as energy released in moments of ‘darkness’ or in lack of awareness.

Since Shiva (awareness or consciousness) and Shakti (energy, Maya, emotions, karma) are both present in us, the game of karma is an internal game.

Shiva and Shakti are both present in all. When one uses too much Shakti without enough Shiva or consciousness, the game of karma starts…

Shastras explain through stories of Shiva and Shakti how Shakti desires Shiva above all…yet, she plays her game of maya which creates a veil and in the darkness of that veil one begins to get caught in the game of karma…

Remember, Shakti desires and wants Shiva above all.

So, to end karma and karma-related cycles of experiences all one needs to do is become more and more conscious or Shiva-like.

When one is troubled by issues referred to above and he feels he’s caught in a web of karma, stand back and observe all the thoughts and feelings passing within like a ‘sakshi’ or witness. Without apportioning blame, simply become aware…and try to learn some lessons meant for you. Learning these lessons, acknowledging where one may have erred and making a solid resolve not to let them repeat, usually helps weaken or break stubborn karmic bonds.

Remember, the ego itself is a creation of Shakti through Maya. And, it’s only when the veil of ego begins to wear thin and break, that the higher consciousness begins to be experienced more and more strongly…

Ego-mind-emotion and their game of karma begins to lose its hold quickly as consciousness rises…

Because, Shakti desires Shiva above all else…

Give Shakti her Shiva and she will be forever your friend and benefactor…Mother Parvati who showers benediction without reserve…
