Babaji’s pictures always show him with his eyes open and focused on the third-eye. Surely, most have seen it.
All who have read Paramhans Yogananda ji’s classic ‘The Autobiography of a Yogi’ have certainly become deeply familiar with the Himalayan Yogi, Babaji or Mahavatar Babaji. Surely, many have been deeply influenced and touched by him too and harbor a desire to be blessed by him some day.
What many ignore is that Babaji is already showering his blessings on all who are interested in receiving them. This classic pose of Babaji sitting with his opened eyes focused on the ajna chakra is one of his greatest blessings.
When we accept the blessing and also focus our eyes on the forehead at the ajna chakra (both opened or closed) we begin to focus on the energy center located there. Many are familiar with the adage, ‘where attention goes, energy flows’.
That’s what we need to do. By focusing our attention on the ajna we are subtly energizing-cum-cleansing it.
When the third eye starts to become active we begin to access knowledge. We open our beings to insights. The Knowing that happens as a consequence of the inner access to deep truths, enables us to short-circuit or hack our way to faster spiritual growth.
For some reason best known to him, Babaji has tried to help accelerate humanity’s spiritual growth and his gift of both Kriya Yoga and his other messages are aimed to help all take maximum advantage and transform themselves ASAP.
When the eyes are focused on the agya (ajna) and one learns to channel their breath from the sahasrara (crown chakra) to the muladhara (base chakra) and from muladhara to the sahasrara, he can accelerate the experience of Ananda with Shiva and Shakti meeting again and again…
Soon, a shower of insights can also begin…a shower that drenches one in that inner knowing which makes one’s journey through life much more rewarding, meaningful and fulfilling.
The Ananda result of the Shiva-Shakti breath can be learnt and experienced easily enough within weeks…
And, who knows, if one truly opens themselves to the shower if blessings what more may come along! Moksha? Nirvana? Absolution?
