Dear Potential Shwas Doots,
Rajyogi Power Of Breath Foundation has been serving Hanumanji whose blessings and guidance have brought the gifts of breathwork techniques that are bringing significant benefits to sufferers.
In addition to helping those with breath-related issues to expel phlegm/kapha through Swaskosh Shuddhi Kriya (Lung Purification Technique), the Tridosha Balancing program helps them significantly reduce the amount of phlegm in their respiratory system. To those who suffer from excessive phlegm, this is like a miracle.
This can potentially have huge implications for health and wellness since ayurveda says vata, pitta and kapha imbalances are responsible for almost all illnesses. If kapha imbalances can be largely balanced, so can the others. In fact, some participants with vata-related conditions have reported improvements. But it’s too early to make an announcement until more such cases are seen. That needs continued feedback, data and study.
Interestingly, in the last course in May, after just a few days’ practice, participants in the advanced course reported how Lotus Opening was helping them inhale more oxygen with the lotus opening technique shared in the course. This can have huge implications for all esp for sportspersons and others.
The Lakes Initiative has been helping numerous homeless/poor people to breathe better through the breathwork techniques taught (free, naturally). They are given free mats, refreshments and also medicines to help them heal and take full advantage of the opportunity to learn to improve their own beings.
Breathing well can be a huge catalyst for a complete change and transformation – physically, mentally, emotionally and of course, spiritually. It can positively affect one’s life in more material and other important ways, too!
These efforts need to be continued and even stepped up as there are innumerable people – both poor and rich who are suffering.
We try to help all, including those who can afford to support the work through contributions without asking for a fee. Instead, only a generous contribution is requested. Unfortunately, collections are too small even to cover direct costs. Fortunately, a few generous patrons’ support is making a small difference, at least.
Our plans to help bring these techniques to a greater number of people needs collection of data and some scientific ‘proof’ to make them more widely used.
We have tied up with a neuroscientist at Yale University and a Shwas Doot, Akarshita Dhawan, who will help collect data, to start giving this shape.
From the next Tridosha Balancing Program starting on 14th June, efforts will be stepped up to collect data from participants so that it can be used to make a study and even the basis of some review papers in the days ahead. This is just a humble start for a system with huge potential and possibilities.
Naturally, this needs continued and concentrated efforts.
Please join our endeavor and help make a positive impact!
