Breath is central to life and that’s a known fact! Life begins with the first breath and ends with the last. But what’s less known and hardly appreciated is that the quality of breath decides the quality of one’s life!
The Pranamaya Kosha (energy sheath or body) as it is known in yoga, is described by Sage Patanjali in his great ‘Yoga Sutras’.
While we all know what and how to do things to improve our physical health (annamaya kosha), there’s very little public knowledge available on how to strengthen and improve one’s energy body. There are many pranayama techniques known widely and lately brought more into the mainstream by Baba Ramdev, however, there are subtle aspects to the breath which can help make immense improvements to the quality of one’s breath!
