One of the very special effects of combining adhyatmic activities like yoga, pranayama, chanting etc is that the Nadis get beautifully cleansed over time.
Once the cleansing has happened, the Nadis, esp the sushumna becomes extremely responsive to vibrations.
Naturally, these results take time, effort and persistence. Cleansing Nadis deeply and effectively takes a fair bit of time and a lot of awareness.
In my previous pieces on the Sat-Chid-Ananda breath, I’ve dwelled upon the three major channels that run from the sahasrara to the muladhara. This is based on my direct awareness and the effect they’ve had on my work. Also, many of my ‘students’ have been able to access all three channels and experience the resultant benefits.
When all these three channels become cleansed, activated and widened, the flow of energy becomes so much better and powerful. This, i think, is the reason why chanting ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ and sometimes just ‘Om’ triggers semi-erections often, and sometimes more.
This is like an indicator that kundalini energy is flowing well and is ready to lift one towards the experience of ANANDA.
When Shiva and Shakti make one’s body a playground for their meeting, the resultant Ananda is a prasad, a vibrational manna, that showers its gifts of wellness…
What more can one ask! I try to stand aside and observe the play of Shiva and Shakti in ‘my’ body, which is really not mine. Even the experience is not really mine…but I’m certainly aware of the previlege of observing it…
Even that’s a lot!
