Dhanvantari, a Vishnu avatar, is the god medicine and good health. ‘Dhanvantari is depicted in stark resemblance to Vishnu, with four hands, holding the Shankha, Chakra, Jalauka (leech), and a pot containing amrita. He is often shown with a leech in his hand rather than the scriptures. Some texts describe him as holding a conch, amrita, medicinal herbs, and a book of Ayurveda,’ according to Wikipedia. Shankha signifies positivity in the voice; Chakra represents physical, mental and spiritual energy; Amrita signifies plants, minerals and elements that bring good health and wellness; Jalauka or leeches represent detoxification. As a breath-worker, breath-watcher and breath-worshipper my interest in breath as a detox agent is of special importance. Seeing Dhanvantari, holding leeches has special significance to me. Leeches have traditionally been used for blood-letting which helps clear blockages! Also, their saliva is said to increase NO (nitric oxide) in blood, which helps in vasodilation. I think of breath as a means to clear blockages, too! And the Lotus opening techniques i share to reverse ED, induce states of ANANDA etc also help with vasodilation – naturally…without chemicals, substances etc. Results have been beyond amazing! I’m grateful to Hanumanji and the god of Ayurveda, Dhanvantari, on this special day for sharing amazing insights which have had an immense impact on people’s health and wellness. They’ve naturally helped me personally to overcome innumerable health conditions myself. So, my body became a laboratory and the insights related to breath an important cure for me… And, as if to give confirmation on my methods, I’ve learnt today the role of leeches, NO and vasodilation.
